Position Details:
The Opportunity:
The Office of Student Involvement develops critically reflective and socially engaged participants, effective communicators, rigorous scholars and artists, and passionate leaders who work and collaborate on behalf of their local and global communities.
As the Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 2, you serve as the primary advisor for STAGE student theatre, including Nuthouse Improv, and the Student Entertainment Board (SEB) and its eight programming committees: Arts, Concerts, Films, Gallery, Speakers, Special Events, Spotlight, and Up All Nights. In this role, you assist SEB programming committees with developing and implementing long-range strategic plans while providing budget oversight; you work with each student programmer to plan, organize, and execute a comprehensive schedule of events throughout the academic year; and you maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external organizations. Additionally, you participate in university committees, you assist in the development of publicity materials supporting events, campaigns, and activities, and you perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,061.90 - $4,858.96 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Demonstrated computer skills.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field.
Experience working with student organizations.
Demonstrated appreciation for all aspects of the arts.
Graphic design experience.
Experience with staging exhibits and/or performances.
Familiarity with Audio Visual (AV) equipment. (slide, video, and data projection)
Familiarity with social media tools.
Experience with web page design.
Experience with grant writing.
Familiarity with Washington State University resources and area resources.
Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, writing, and multi-tasking skills.
