AcceptU is seeking part-time college counselors. Prior admissions experience, either full-time or as a seasonal reader, is required. Counselors should have prior admissions experience at a highly ranked research university. Prior college counseling and/or independent consulting experience is valued but not required.

College counselors are responsible for advising high school students on college planning topics, including early guidance, extracurricular profile development, school lists, application strategy, essay development and interview preparation. Counselors have flexible schedules and deliver a defined AcceptU curriculum to their students. AcceptU provides extensive training as well as ongoing professional development to all counselors. This is a fully remote position. Salary is determined based on experience and expected caseload.

Required:

• BA/BS degree or higher
• 1 year/cycle in admissions reviewing applications at a top 50 research university 
• Exceptionally strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and enthusiastically tackle responsibilities

Preferred:

• College counseling experience
• 2+ years in admissions reviewing applications
