Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Programs, the Student Center Program Advisor has a dual role managing all operations of Paper & Clay (an arts and crafts space) and advising 3 student programming committees within the Student Center Programs Council (SCPC) who coordinate cultural, social, and recreational activities for the GT community.
Advise 3 Student Center Programs Council (SCPC) committees and chairs. Providing guidance and support during the program planning process to ensure campus and department guidelines and policies are followed, while encouraging a robust and diverse set of programs open to all Georgia Tech students.
Work with vendors to ensure contracts and payment are handled properly and in a timely manner.
Manage all aspects of Paper & Clay including polices and procedures, hiring, training and supervision of student employees, maintaining the facility and equipment, managing the operating budget, and promoting use of the space via programs and specials events.
Supervise Paper & Clay student employees responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the space.
Work closely with other program professionals to establish the overall philosophy and direction of the programs division of the Student and Campus Event Centers team.
Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in Student Affairs, Counseling, Higher Education Administration or related field preferred.
2-4 years of job related experience preferred.
Experience with program planning and facility management preferred.
