North Idaho College is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Dual Credit Advisor to support high school students earning college credit through NIC’s Dual Credit program. Based at the Sandpoint Center, this position plays a key role in helping students and families understand dual credit opportunities, navigate the enrollment process, and plan pathways toward college and career success. Regular travel throughout Bonner, Boundary, and Kootenai counties, including to the Coeur d’Alene campus, is required.
In this role, you’ll advise students and parents on academic and career/technical dual credit options, assist with course planning, and connect students to college and community resources to promote success. You’ll collaborate closely with high school counselors, administrators, and NIC colleagues to ensure consistent communication, deliver presentations to schools and community groups, and assist with outreach and dual credit events. You’ll also support advising services during peak times and contribute to student recruitment and orientation efforts.
We’re looking for a strong communicator and relationship-builder who enjoys working with students, families, and educators. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and skilled at explaining complex processes clearly. Success in this role requires excellent presentation, advising, and problem-solving abilities, proficiency with technology and student information systems, and a commitment to helping students reach their academic goals.
