Ravenscroft is seeking a Middle School Science Teacher & Advisor in the Middle School / Science Department. This is a full-time, exempt, 10-month position following the academic calendar (August–June).
This role is ideal for someone who is excited to teach science, build relationships with middle school students and grow as an educator within a collaborative school community.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
What You'll Do
Teach middle school science using inquiry-based, student-centered approaches
Build strong relationships with students and support diverse learning needs
Serve as an advisor, supporting students’ academic, social-emotional, and leadership development
Integrate instructional technology, learning management systems, and AI tools into teaching and learning
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in the broader life of the school

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (science education degree not required)
Strong content knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching middle school science
Clear communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to working in a diverse, inclusive, and mission-aligned school community
Preferred:
Experience working with middle school–aged students in any setting
Experience in a K–12 or independent school environment
Master’s degree in Science, Science Education, or a related field
Ability or interest in teaching math in addition to science
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This role is based on Ravenscroft’s campus and includes work in classrooms, laboratories, and shared community spaces. The position requires the ability to move throughout campus, lead classroom and lab activities, use instructional technology regularly, and communicate effectively with students and colleagues. Occasional evening or weekend responsibilities may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
