This is a fully benefited, full-time Harvard University position that has been funded through December 31, 2026. Identity and Access Management (IAM) Services at Harvard delivers technologies and processes that enable access for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and affiliates while safeguarding University resources and users. The Change Manager to support the development and delivery of new identity and access management features for Harvard University. The Change Manager will lead the communication, training, and overall change management efforts to ensure a focus on stakeholder outreach and engagement throughout the project. This is a unique opportunity to directly influence the design, development and deployment of emerging IAM technologies that will be consumed by schools and departments across Harvard University.
- Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to ensure adoption, utilization, and proficiency of the changes that impact users across the University, and collaboratively with colleagues to leverage resources for successful project completion
- Identify and analyze potential risks, issues, dependencies and impacts of changes
- Develop;
- an engagement approach that builds stakeholder support for the new services
- a communications plan and project communications. Design engaging and professional presentations that highlight project timelines, information, impacts, and outcomes. Scale presentations to match audience expectations
- a Training Strategy and Plan that will support a phased rollout of the new service
- Perform audience and stakeholder identification and analysis; create plans tailored to each audience to promote adoption and make the transition easy
- Guide the work of councils, workgroups, steering committees and executive level advisors for the project, planning and leading meetings in collaboration with the project leadership team
- Utilize multiple communication channels, evaluate their effectiveness, and adjust as needed
- Produce user-focused documentation, materials, presentations, and other collateral, and training materials and curriculum including online videos to support users
- Provide training sessions for Support Services and other relevant groups
- Report on status and success of changes to project leadership and stakeholders
- Serve as primary contact with user groups and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills
Essential in addition to the Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills including written and presentation skills for an executive audience
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and facilitation skills
- Proven ability to work in a complex environment, capable of taking an assignment from project design to final presentation with a minimum of supervision
- Demonstrated;
- proficiency with understanding the impact of technology on business processes and people
- skill in fostering strong, collaborative relationships throughout all levels of an organization
- ability to influence without direct responsibility/control and to bring groups to consensus
The following Additional Qualifications are strongly preferred:- Experience in a higher education environment and in Identity and Access Management
Certificates and Licenses
- Completion of Harvard IT Academy Project Management Foundations course (or external equivalent) preferred
