Position Summary:
The DSW advisor works with the DSW students after their first year until graduation, which can be up to an additional four years.
Position Responsibilities:
The primary reasonability of the advisor is to support the students' research/grand challenge through individual mentoring
The advisor helps the student develop two scholarly papers and a presentation
The advisor will be part of other DSW students' grand challenge committees
The advisor will work with up to 8 students annually until they graduate
Experience & Educational Background:
Master's degree in social work (MSW) or a related field
Doctorate degree in social work (DSW) or related field (preferred)
Extensive knowledge and expertise in social work research and practice
Additional certifications or training in academic mentoring or education
Skills & Competencies:
Proficient in academic research and analysis
Strong academic writing and editing skills
Experience in mentoring and coaching
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Effective organizational and time management
Commitment to student success and development
Salary Range:
$30.00 - $32.05 per hour
