The Assistant Dean of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions will provide strategic leadership and direction for the marketing, recruitment, and admissions activities for the programs offered in the Graduate School of Business Administration (GSBA) which include the Full-Time MBA, the Part-Time MBA, the Master of Science in Finance, the MS Finance/MBA, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in International Management, Master of Science in Management, as well as Graduate Certificates.
The Assistant Dean will be accountable for driving program enrollments and growth in line with the School's direction and goals and within an extremely competitive external environment. The Assistant Dean will plan and participate actively in on-going corporate outreach, recruiting and business development activities. In collaboration with the Associate Dean, faculty program directors, and the School's Director of Graduate Program Marketing, the Assistant Dean will create and implement marketing strategies in support of recruitment efforts. The Assistant Dean will chair the Admissions Committee for all GSBA programs and ensure that admissions operations and review processes run smoothly. The Assistant Dean supervises a staff of ten.
The Assistant Dean of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions is a member of the Graduate Program's senior leadership team, meeting regularly with the Associate Dean, the Assistant Dean & Director of Student Services, the Senior Director of the MBA Career Center, and the Director of the Graduate School of Professional Accounting, to coordinate activities and information flow.
The local MBA program market is extremely competitive. Aggressive and consistent marketing and recruitment efforts are essential to increase the quantity and quality of admitted students. In addition, the D'Amore-McKim School of Business is committed to raising visibility by improving its position in the business school rankings. The Assistant Dean of Graduate Recruitment and Admission's efforts will be critical in this regard.
Advanced graduate degree, preferably Master of Business Administration.
At least ten years' experience in academic recruiting and marketing activities and/or business development.
Expertise in data analytics, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and database management.
Demonstrated success in supervising staff and working in teams and collaboratively across the organization.
Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills (both oral and written). Creativity, positive can-do attitude, flexibility, initiative, and a sense of humor required.
Professional presence and maturity in dealing with a variety of audiences, external and internal to the university.
Responsive to feedback and committed to continuous improvement. Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends and to travel, as required.
