Under direction of higher-level K-14 Academic Preparation Supervisor, works with K-16 students, teachers, parents, and district personnel to develop their general education skills and UC eligibility as part of the Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP). Collaborates with staff on the implementation of EAOP at targeted high schools. Maintains collaborative relationships with K-14 institutions and / or community entities.

$23.23 - $25.85 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $23.23 - $40.95 (Hourly Rate)
Two years of experience working for outreach efforts in a university setting.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population, and sensitivity to culture, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status. Knowledge of higher education institutions (UC, CSU, CC, etc.), admissions and financial aid requirements, and the ability to interpret policies and procedures to youth, parents, and school representatives. Experience advising and supporting educationally disadvantaged and academically at-risk students regarding postsecondary opportunities and careers. Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with school district administrators, school counselors, principals, teachers, and community contacts. Demonstrated experience and ability to research and develop program presentation and materials. Ability to train and supervise undergraduate student staff. Bilingual Spanish/English or Vietnamese/English language skills. Demonstrated ability and willingness to present/speak before a large group.
Special Conditions Required:
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations/school sites in one day.
