Under general direction, is responsible to identify, recruit, admit, and enroll academically qualified study abroad students from the Saint Louis University â“ St. Louis Campus for the Madrid Campus; keeps frequent contact with students, parents, SLU academic advisors, and government agencies if applicable; demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of all students; performs duties in accordance with the philosophy of the University.
Job Duties
Recruits visiting (study abroad) applicants from the St. Louis Campus for the Madrid Campus; hosts promotional programs for students interested in studying at the Madrid Campus; represents the campus at local, regional, and national promotional events and programs.
Establishes and maintains active communication with students, families, and other involved parties concerning admission, tuition and billing, and the student visa application process; prepares and presents pre-departure orientations.
Assists students in the visa process, which may require working with the Chicago Spanish consulate; upholds accordance with federal regulations.
Processes the applications of visiting students including reading, interpreting, and evaluating students academic credentials and makes admission/denial decisions; evaluates student conduct for admission purposes.
Serves as a liaison between Saint Louis Universitys Madrid and St. Louis Campuses; performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelors degree; supplemented with one (1) year of relevant international education experience. Must be able to travel and handle working with university-aged students in a busy, multi-tasking environment. Study at the Madrid Campus or in Spain highly preferred. Spanish language proficiency preferred

Compensation
Salary Range: $40,000 - $48,000
