The Department of Computer Science at Queens College in the City University of New York invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position, with appointment to begin in Fall 2024. Lecturers at CUNY can earn a Certificate of Continuous employment (CCE) after 5 years, which is equivalent to tenure. Applicants are expected to have successfully taught a variety of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science or related areas in recent years.
The primary responsibility of the position will be to teach computer science courses, including our course: Database Systems. In addition, the Lecturer will serve as the departmental advisor for students and will share responsibility for committee and departmental assignments that may have administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related area.
Preferred Qualification
At least three years of experience teaching college-level computer science or related courses
Master's degree in computer science or a closely related discipline.
Experience teaching a course in Database Systems is preferred.
COMPENSATION
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Salary Range: $64,426 - $72,280
