Northwestern Pritzker School of Law invites applications for a full-time, benefits eligible, faculty position to serve as the Associate Dean of International Programs. Candidates will be considered for renewable, long-term appointment at the rank of lecturer, senior lecturer, or professor of practice (non-tenure-eligible) and will also hold an administrative faculty appointment as Associate Dean.
The Associate Dean of International Programs will oversee all international academic programs at the Law School, including the LLM and Executive LLM programs (other than the tax LLM), and will report directly to the Dean. Key duties will be strategic development of the Law School’s international programs and initiatives, nurturing existing and building new international partnerships, budget development and management, and hiring and supervision of program staff. The Associate Dean will work closely with the Dean and other senior leaders as a key member of the Law School’s leadership team. The position may also have the opportunity to teach courses of strategic value to the law school and its international programs.
Candidates must hold a J.D. degree, or an equivalent advanced law degree, from a U.S. or foreign law school, or a relevant masters degree, and have leadership experience related to international programs. Northwestern Law seeks applicants with a record of substantial administrative and management experience, proven leadership and communication skills, a commitment to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion in international programs, and an innovative vision for the future of international programs, partnerships, and education. Preferred qualifications include experience working with international students, overseeing international programs in a Law School or University setting, and research and/or practice experience related to international legal issues.
