Headwaters School, a Pre-K through grade 12 independent day school serving 530 students across its three campuses in Austin, TX, is seeking a full time Mandarin Teacher in our High School for the 2023-2024 academic year.

The course load for this position will include teaching five sections of Mandarin and an advisory. Candidates will also be prepared to participate in the life of the school, including, but not limited to supervision of lunch, teaching an elective, coaching, sponsoring a club, serving as an advisor, chaperoning trips, and other duties as assigned by the High School Director.
Teaching Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
At least three years prior experience teaching Mandarin in a middle school or high school setting
Extensive knowledge of their subject and skill in instruction
Native speaker or substantial time living abroad in target language country
International Baccalaureate (IB) Mandarin experience preferred; IB training will be provided by Headwaters for teachers without IB certification

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position and compensation is competitive for the greater Austin area.
