This is a full-time position with an expected base annualized salary of $67,000 - $149,080, commensurate with education and experience on the faculty salary scale

About the Position
The counselor is part of a collaborative, cross-divisional, team-based structure with a high level of communication and collegiality. Active participation in a faculty culture of continuous learning, professional development, and intellectual growth is expected and supported. During the 2023-2024 school year we will continue to evaluate our student support program, and the counselor will be invited to participate in conversations about the strategic growth of the department.

have experience with a diverse array of learners and families
In particular, the counselor will:
provide counseling to students in the junior kindergarten through fourth grade
facilitate group and individual student meetings and lunch groups
perform classroom observations
provide consultation, feedback and support to teachers on a regular basis
meet with parents/guardians and other stakeholders as needed
participate in the teaching of character education, life skills, and health
oversee management of evaluations and referrals
serve on the EC and LS student support and guidance teams
work in coordination with counselors, learning specialists, and outside providers in a multi-disciplinary, team approach that focuses on early interventions
meet regularly with Early Childhood (JK–1) and Lower School (Grades 2–4) division heads
offer faculty professional development and parent education
A Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, or a related field is required
Prior work experience in a school setting is desired
