Pediatric Palliative Care – Physician
The Division of Pediatric Palliative Care at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is seeking to add a BE/BC Pediatric Palliative Care physician to our multidisciplinary team. Pediatric Palliative Care at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is an established program in its 14th year of service. Responsibilities of the position include inpatient consultation, outpatient visits both in clinic and home visits, primary management of patients on hospice, and prenatal services. In addition to clinical activities, division members are invited to participate in research as well as teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital is a tertiary care center located in Cleveland Ohio. The Division of Pediatric Palliative Care is currently comprised of a full time fellowship trained physician, board certified in pediatrics and palliative care, 2 full time nurse practitioners, a full time art therapist/counselor, a full time RN clinical coordinator, a full time director of parental bereavement programs, and a half time chaplain. The team follows patients with a wide spectrum of life threatening diseases in collaboration with other service lines.

Healing and attending to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of children and their families.
Teaching and demonstrating the principles and practices of palliative care to the medical teams, families, and community.
Discovering and leading innovative research to continue a model of excellence.
Qualified candidates are required to have an MD/DO degree and board eligibility or board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine as well as Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics. Academic appointments are through Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Faculty rank is open, commensurate with experience.
