Serves as a member of the Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation professional staff that is responsible for the recruitment of prospective domestic first year and transfer students through high school and community college visits, college fairs, information sessions, on and off-campus recruitment, yield and orientation events. Recruitment does require evening and weekend work based on the territory. Renders admissions decisions for both domestic and international applications.

The Senior Admissions Counselor in this role will also support enrollment services for international undergraduate first year and transfer students. These duties include but are not limited to hosting virtual information sessions and one-on-one appointments for interested candidates, responding to student inquiries in our RT ticketing system and calls, proactive campaigns for application completion and yield, and rendering admission decisions. Processing of application materials and streamlining decision communication is also an area this position will be called upon to support. Applies university policies, performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Two years minimum of related admissions and orientation experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in international admissions and enrollment
Tuition remission at UMBC for eligible dependents after two years of FT employment

Salary:
Salary: $53,000 - $58,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
