Position Information:Under the direction of the Financial Administrative Officer (FAO) of Performing Arts serving the Departments of Theatre, Film, and Digital Production (TFDP), Music and Creative Writing, the Student Academic Advisor 2 will: provide all graduate student affairs and administrative support to the graduate degree granting programs; oversee course management in support of department objectives; and provide administrative support to Teaching Assistants. Major functional areas of responsibility include managing all TA appointments; enrollment support, serving as Graduate Student Affairs Officer working with MFA and PhD students on recruitments, admissions, and completion of degree requirements; providing back-up to other Administrative Coordinators in PAA. The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality and must have exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in working well with diverse staff, faculty, and students.
The full salary range for the Student Academic Advisor 2 is $23.85 - $40.33 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $23.85 - $32.09 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including active listening. Ability to multi-task.
