FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs in Hunter College???s School of Education seeks candidates for a Doctoral Lecturer position effective late Fall 2023.
Duties include:
Teaching, advising, and supporting graduate counseling students and program, and department and college-wide committees as needed
Developing, maintaining, and evaluating internship and practicum field placements, which involves recruiting new sites and building relationships with new site staff, including agency directors and school leaders.
Supporting fieldwork coordinator related to various activities, including fieldwork meetings and general support for students and site supervisors
QUALIFICATIONS
All candidates must have an earned doctorate degree in counselor education or a related counseling doctoral degree orhave been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2023. Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) preferred. Teaching at the university-level and counseling/clinical experience is required; supervision experience is preferred. All candidates must have a commitment to working in an urban multicultural setting.
