Provide direct mental health and addictions clinical services in a culturally-responsive manner to outpatient clients.
Provides direct clinical services to program clients including evaluation, individual, group, family, couples counseling, case management, and documentation of clinical services consistent with program standards and relevant OARs
Services provided will reflect cultural competence and knowledge of evidence based practices regarding the clients and their clinical concerns
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with other program staff, Dept of Psychiatry, and other OHSU departments, referral sources, and community agencies.
Required Qualifications
Currently licensed as a LPC, LMFT or LCSW in the State of Oregon
Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or another related behavioral health discipline
Demonstrates the ability to conduct an assessment
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in providing evidence-based treatment of mental health and addictive disorders
For treatment staff holding certification in addiction counseling, qualifications for the certificate must have included at least 750 hours of supervised experience in substance use counseling + 150 contact hours of education and training in substance use related subjects; and successful completion of a written objective examination or portfolio review by the certifying body
For treatment staff holding a health or allied provider license, the license or registration must have been issued by one of the following state bodies and have at least 60 contact hours of academic or continuing professional education in substance use disorders treatment:Board of Medical ExaminersBoard of Psychologist ExaminersBoard of Licensed Social WorkersBoard of Licensed Professional Counselors and TherapistsBoard of Nursing
For treatment staff holding certification in problem gambling counseling, qualifications for the certificate must have included at least 100 hours of supervised experience in problem gambling counseling + 30 contact hours of education and training in problem gambling related subjects; and successful completion of a written objective examination or portfolio review by the certifying body.
