Hunter College seeks a Dean of its School of Health Professions, which consists of three departments: Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology & Audiology, and Nutrition & Public Health. The successful candidate will have had success in creating innovative education programs, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, driving research, and developing strong clinical partnerships. This position reports to the Provost.
Responsibilities:
? Develop and execute a strategic plan to realize the full potential of the school.
? Oversee the school budget.
? Oversee academic programs that achieve strong results for enrollment, student success, and career placement.
? Anticipate trends in health sciences and professions, including the growing use of digital learning technologies and artificial intelligence tools, growth of alternative careers for program graduates, and growing demand for education among non-traditional learners.
? Ensure the programs meet appropriate accreditation requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the College.
? Earned doctorate or terminal degree in a health science field required.
? Progressive and successful senior administrative and fiscal management experience in a higher education setting.
? Notable record of academic achievement, research, practice, and service; qualified for appointment as a professor with tenure at Hunter College.
? Evidence of significant academic administrative accomplishments, including fiscal oversight, program accreditation, and strategic planning.
? A deep understanding of the future of the health sciences and health-related professions and higher education.
? Demonstrated commitment to a diverse and inclusive environment that supports excellence.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary range, commensurate with education and experience, between $175,000 - $215,000.
