Overview
The Case Management in House Physician Advisor serves as our Acute Care Throughput Champion, specifically focused on reducing excess days, length of stay, and other industry standard Key Performance Indicators. This role will spearhead initiatives to optimize resource utilization, medical necessity while educating colleagues around industry standard of documentation practices while maintaining equality of care.
This position primary focus areas:
Reduction of excess acute care days beyond expected length of stay
Elimination of medically unnecessary testing
Optimization of care progression pathways
Enhancement of evidence-based clinical decision making
This position will be asssiting in policies, processes, and education around improving Patient Care and Quality metrics including although not limited to length of stay, cost reduction, appropriate coding, and appealing denials as appropriate. This position will work in a dyad leadership with he Case Management Leadership and will work closely with utilization partners. This position will directly report to Beebe Halthcare's Chief Health Systems Design Officer. With a matrix relationship to the Physician in Chief, APC in Chief, and Surgeon in Chief.

Qualifications
Board eligibility or Board Certification in a Medical Specialty or Sub-Specialty.
M.D. or D.O. medical degree.
Minimum of 5-7 years in direct patient care.
Active or pending certification in Health Utilization Review
