Savannah Country Day School seeks a creative, innovative, and energetic 7th-grade Life Science teacher to join our learning community for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time position includes teaching five (5) sections of Life Science and serving as a student advisor. The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including Anatomy and Physiology, Genetics, Evolution, Biotechnology and Bioethics, Diversity of Living Things, Cellular Biology, and Taxonomy and Ecology. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about helping students explore science through diverse pedagogical techniques, with an emphasis on inquiry-based lab experiences whenever possible. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be eager to explore collaborative and interdisciplinary teaching opportunities. The integration of technology in the classroom is highly encouraged. A willingness to engage in critical dialogue about instructional practices with colleagues and a desire to participate in a wide range of school activities both inside and outside the classroom are essential.
Additional Expectations: • Serve as a student advisor • Lead a middle school club • The ability to coach a sport is highly desirable

Physical Demands: Work is typically performed in a classroom environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or carries objects of a light-medium weight, up to 25 pounds. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes. The exposure to fumes or chemicals is possible in the laboratory environment.

Savannah Country Day School is an Early Childhood–Grade 12 co-educational day school of about 900 students. The school is one of the strongest in the Southeast.
