Program Manager will provide fiscal and project management along with program support to the Proactive Approaches for Training Hispanics in STEM (PATHS) program under the general direction of the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators.

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ('UEC') supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary
Temporary, Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 9/30/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $5,719.89-$7,040.00 per month.
Location: CSUSB Campus.
Work Schedule
Exempt. 40 hours per week. Typically Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM with occasional evening hours, extended workdays and weekends required.

Typical Activities Under the general supervision of the principal investigator, the Program Manager will undertake all aspects of project management. These include, but are not limited to: Fiscal management:
Monitoring each budget and ensuring that all sponsor, UEC and university guidelines and rules are followed
Process various invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, reimbursements, and faculty/student pay
Creating a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete each project and maintaining a timeline for PATHS Program Manager each project that includes key milestones
Project Management:
Setting up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
Being the point of contact for federal reporting or data needs and assisting in collecting data and completing reports (Quarterly reports, Annual reports, IRB submissions, and others as needed).
Being the point of contact for the external evaluators and assisting in collecting data and completing reports.
Scheduling meetings, creating agendas, update website and disseminating information.
Maintaining effective communication across all the areas within and outside University Enterprises Corporation (UEC), and CSUSB including any external partners.
Overseeing, in collaboration with the project personnel, the hiring of the staff members and student assistants
Program Support:
Assist in recruitment and retention of student participants.
Distribute and oversee counselor student load with assistance from project leadership team.
Collect and monitor database of student information.
Book rooms, order food, and help organize grant related activities and events such as orientation, SOAR sessions, graduation, and potential student visits.
Monitor and report on advising stats, outreach, and workshop/event attendees.
Participate in science success center meetings and leadership meetings to discuss ongoing progress and ways to increase effectiveness of grant goals.
Other Duties:
Assist PI and Co-PI with student success related activities such as recruitment, retention, and sense of belonging efforts.
Occasional travel may be required.
Other duties as assigned by the PI of Co-PI's to support the PATHS grant and grant-related activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of two years of professional experience related to duties and responsibilities specified in the posting. Equivalent amounts of job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
Other:
Strong organizational, management, leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
The ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of people.
Ability to analyze problems and resolve conflicts, engage in long range planning, and develop implementation procedures determine priorities, complete assigned projects in a timely manner and work well under tight deadlines.
The ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and be able to make sound independent decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. Experience using PeopleSoft is preferred.
Experience using Qualtrics, Drupal, and Google Drive is a plus.
