Associate Dean for Academic Affairs POSITION DETAILS The CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies (SLU) was established in 2018 as the 25th self-standing school in The City University of New York system. It builds upon the work of the Joseph S. Murphy Institute, which has served the educational needs of working adults for nearly two decades. The School is dedicated to public service and social justice and has a three-part mission: 1) offer undergraduate and graduate programs in Labor and Urban Studies that better prepare current and future generations of labor and community leaders; 2) collaborate with other units of the University to expand educational opportunities for working adults while meeting the workforce development needs of New York City and Stat
