Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of Liberal Arts and General Education sets the vision and is responsible for the following departments: Communication, Computer Science,Developmental Education, English, Fine Arts, Social Sciences, Humanities, mathematics, Reading, and World Language programs. The dean provides day-to-day management and strategic leadership for topics associated with the above instructional areas, such as: academic and strategic planning, assessment and curricular mapping, course/program articulation, scheduling, faculty/staff mentorship, evaluation and professional development, academic program review, budgeting, continuous quality improvement, and pedagogical innovation.
