Browne Academy seeks a middle school math teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. We seek an innovative, enthusiastic, and proactive educator passionate about working with students. Creating an engaging art education program commits to fostering students' creativity and critical thinking skills. Utilize various teaching methods to meet the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Integrate meaningful and effective technology in the classroom.
Participate in the continuing development of an inquiry-based math curriculum that prepares students to be critical, independent thinkers.
Demonstrate strong classroom management.
Meet deadlines for reporting grades.
Monitor students’ progress, strengths, and weaknesses, and communicate these to parents/guardians and administrators when necessary.
Prepare substantive parent-teacher conference reports and written documentation on student progress.
Collaborate with colleagues across the school.
Serve as an advisor to a group of middle school students.
Attend and contribute in full, divisional, departmental, and team faculty meetings.
Take an active role in professional activities and attend relevant professional meetings and conferences.
Stay abreast of the latest advances in math education.
All other duties as assigned by the Associate Head of School

Browne Academy offers a competitive benefits package, including health, life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance, fully or partially paid for by Browne Academy, plus voluntary dental and vision insurance. A 5.5 percent of your salary contributed to your 403(b) after one year of service, four weeks of paid, scheduled school holidays, plus 8 PTO (Paid Time Off) days and summers off. Plus, 75 percent of tuition remission is for eligible students enrolled at Browne Academy if space permits, there is free morning care and aftercare during the school year, and 50 percent is off summer camp and free aftercare for summer camp.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in math, math education, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Three to five years of teaching experience.
Experience in an independent school preferred.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of algebra and middle school math and pedagogy.
Knowledge of and experience with project-based learning is preferred.
Represent the school in the larger community in a positive manner that reflects the school's values.
Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, administrators, and parents/guardians.
Professional written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
