Saddle River Day School is seeking a full-time Middle School Learning Specialist for an immediate opening in the 2024-2025 school year.

Key responsibilities for this position are: 

• Work with students in small groups or one-on-one for academic support in grades 5 through 8
• Teach learning support classes on topics such as organizational skills, executive functions, or other topics identified as a need for our community
• Work as part of a team with other Learning Specialists, as well as our School Counselor, Dean of Students, and Division Heads
• Work effectively with appropriate services beyond SRDS to ensure academic needs are being met
• Manage a caseload of students to ensure they are receiving proper accommodations 
• Participate in the school community beyond the classroom

The ideal candidate will: 

• Hold a bachelor’s degree
• Ideally have experience working in academic support (other relevant experience will be considered)
• Have a deep passion for student growth and development 
• Foster strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families 
• Maintain a high level of organization 
• Infuse technology and current trends in education into pedagogy
