$650/month medical stipend for health insurance

Hiring Salary Range: $59,339 - $61,419/annual
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Description of Work The primary purpose of this grant position is to provide direct counseling services in the Behavioral Health Clinic. Responsibilities and duties are to:
Provide outpatient therapy for clients seeking mental health services.
Provide therapy sessions, crisis intervention, and therapeutic interventions.
Provide client and family education.
Complete diagnostic assessments, crisis plans and develop treatment plans.
Maintain weekly scheduled appointments and complete required documentation in Patagonia Electronic Medical Record “EMR”.
Submit billing encounters in a timely manner.
Position may provide counseling and/or educational sessions at the Beaufort County Detention Center to support the Medication Assisted Treatment “MAT” program.
Work in collaboration with the Family Nurse Practitioners, LCSW, and Public Health Nurse II (Behavioral Health Program Coordinator)
Addresses referrals received from providers.
Work with BCHD staff to promote Behavioral Health services.
Provide services in a culturally sensitive manner and abide by all confidentiality policies, rules, and laws.
Other duties may include program outreach, community education related to mental health services, and working on efforts of the Beaufort County Behavioral Health Task Force.
Prepare monthly and/or quarterly programmatic reports as requested by supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.
License and Certification Requirements
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); OR
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC); OR
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); and
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems.
Considerable knowledge of a wide range of behavior and psychosocial problems and their diagnosis and treatment.
Considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics, a range of intervention techniques, governmental and private organizations, resources in the community, laws, regulations, and policies which govern the program, methods and principles of casework supervision and training.
In certain settings, considerable knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes and their treatment related to decisions regarding clinical interventions and appropriate therapies based on medical or psychological diagnosis.
Skill in establishing rapport with a client and in applying techniques or assessing psychosocial, behavioral, and psychological aspects of client problems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and their families.
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and to plan and execute work effectively.
