Poly Prep seeks applicants for the position of Middle School Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year who will be excited to empower Middle School students to think critically by fostering their natural scientific curiosity. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Teaching:
Teach four sections of Middle School science (two sections of Grade 7 science and two sections of Grade 8 science)
Work to support student learning on an individual basis, as needed
Adopt innovative instructional and assessment practices consistent with departmental philosophy and pedagogies
Keep an accurate online gradebook, effectively and supportively communicate with students and families, and provide written and oral feedback on student progress consistently
Embrace professional learning, departmental collaboration, and demonstrate responsiveness to mentorship
Additional Responsibilities:
Serve as a co-advisor to a group of 12-18 students
Co-advise a club or activity and engage in supervision duties as necessary
Accompany students on occasional curricular trips
Demonstrate energetic commitment to professional development
Attend and contribute to meetings during and after the school day, including but not limited to departmental, committee, divisional and grade-level meeting
Attend community events throughout the school year
Salary Range: $74,700 ? $94,986

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in science or science education or related discipline required. Master’s degree preferred
Experience: Three or more years of middle school teaching experience. Physical and life science background preferred
