The Academic Student Support Program Director for Graduate Clinical Affairs will report directly to the Evelyn Lauder Associate Dean for Nurse Practitioner Programs. The Director will have primary responsibility for overseeing clinical experiences for all graduate students, including the implementation of the Evelyn Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Program.
The Director for Graduate Clinical Affairs will:
• Engage in strategic advocacy, planning, coordination, and quality improvements to ensure that graduate students achieve their expected learning outcomes in their clinical experiences.
• Oversee all aspects of graduate program clinical placements and compliance to ensure a supportive, effective learning environment for students.
• Lead graduate program clinical placement team, providing guidance and professional development to enhance service delivery, while coordinating with clinical preceptors to ensure quality supervision and support for students.
• Collaborate with the School Executive Leadership Team, specialty directors, program directors, faculty, clinical partners, and others to create quality graduate student clinical placement experience.
• Drive efforts to attract and retain graduate students, enhancing orientation processes, and fostering connections with alumni.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, collect and analyze data related to clinical placements, and recommend program improvements based on findings.
• Oversee the implementation of the Evelyn Lauder Community Care Nurse Practitioner Program, ensuring effective management of recruitment, admissions, progression, and partnerships.
• Stay updated on CUNY, Hunter College and School of Nursing policies and systems related to clinical placements and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop new initiatives that enhance graduate clinical education.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the university’s overall functions and operations.
• Undertake additional related responsibilities as needed to support the mission and strategic goals of the School of Nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience with a preference for nursing, medicine, or a health-related field. Leadership, supervisory, and/or project management experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, team building, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency and competency in database management, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and other relevant systems/software.
Previous work with a College/School program with an emphasis on clinical/practicum/field placement learning required.
