Description

Ideal candidates for this position should have experience in outreach and education, either on college campuses or within the community. They should be skilled in creating and delivering presentations, building relationships with campus partners, and fostering new collaborations. This role focuses on supporting students through services designed to enhance retention, success, and graduation. As the office also functions as a student lounge, regular student interaction is a key component. Candidates should be comfortable designing graphics for social media and tracking outreach efforts while devising strategies to expand them.

Key responsibilities include providing educational and outreach services to students, faculty, and staff upon request. This includes managing tabling events, delivering office overview and signature presentations (both live and pre-recorded), advising the student organization Free Food for Thought, and facilitating deliberative dialogue conversations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Student Development Training: Assist in delivering deliberative dialogue training for both general and specific training requests. Assist in developing and delivering signature presentations for the office. Organizes tabling events to market the office and its programs. Manages training requests and training calendar through the department website

• Peer Educators: Advising and maintaining students requested to provide signature presentations, outreach, and tabling

• Podcasts/interviews: Coordinating collaborative planning for student-led podcasts and interviews used to promote the mission and vision of Student Engagement and Enrichment

• Deliberative Dialogue Advisor: Advises deliberative dialogue student leaders by developing facilitation, critical thinking, and leadership skills through activities, lessons, and assessment of student leader performance. Oversees all programming components while empowering student organizations to take the lead on all planning and implementation. Works with students to develop and implement curriculum for up to eight dynamic "hot topic" dialog sessions. Assists with the development of curricula as necessary

• Develop student leaders to facilitate training sessions for peers

• Coordinates logistics for Student Engagement and Enrichment's annual Student Leadership Retreat

• Collaborates with staff on the design and implementation of retreat curriculum. Leads the assessment of all educational components of the retreat

• Performs other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $40,000 (non-negotiable)
