Annual Salary Range:
Social Services Counselor II: $75,864 - $100,899

DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this position is to perform professional level duties in the psychological assessment and counseling for the community.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct assessments and evaluation including psychosocial histories and analysis of presenting and underlying problems/issues to determine diagnosis, client needs and appropriate treatment plan and options.
Provide in-depth psychotherapy to individuals of all ages and families.
Develop treatment plans to determine client goals/objectives, interventions, and target dates for achievement. Monitor program compliance. Analyze, evaluate, and adjust treatment programs to needs of client.
Conduct and complete DUI Screenings
Consult and coordinate issues as appropriate with such entities as school officials, neighborhood representatives, public assistance workers, and other public and private agency officials to seek assistance and coordinate solutions to participant/client problems.
Coordinate and provide guidance to Master-level interns, temporary staff, and/or
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience:
Social Services Counselor II
Requires three (3) years of experience providing counseling services in an area appropriate to position’s assignment. Bilingual is preferred.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.

Social Services Counselor II:
Requires Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in psychology, counseling, social work, or a degree related to the core functions of this position.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
Possession of Arizona Licensure issued by Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners in one of the following,
Counseling
Social Work
Marriage and Family Therapy
Possession of, or required to obtain within thirty (30) days of hire, a State of Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
