The Western Kentucky University Office of Admissions is accepting applications for Admissions Counselor positions. The Admissions Office seeks to grow WKU's student population through the recruitment and admission of a diverse, academically-distinguished, and engaged student body. This full-time position reports to the Coordinator of Admissions Outreach and operates as a recruiter, ambassador, event planner, and liaison between the university and school counselors, teachers, prospective students, parents, and other constituents within an assigned recruitment territory. Admissions Counselors represent WKU at multiple events including high school sessions, college fairs, on-campus recruitment events, and orientation programs.

Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
Attention to detail
Ability to self-motivate and work with limited direct supervision
Technological penchant
Strong organization skills with a proven ability to multi-task and navigate frequent priority shifts
Ability to quickly establish rapport and develop relationships with multiple constituencies
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Valid driver's license
Public speaking experience and excellent presentation skills
Willingness to frequently travel, work evenings and weekend
Additional Information:
Hourly Rate: $18.89
