The Division of Graduate Studies at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications to fill a full-time Admissions Assistant to help students throughout the admissions process for post-baccalaureate certificates, masters programs, and post-masters certificate programs.

Position Description:
The Admissions Assistant will work closely with the Admissions Counselor to assist new inquiries and applicants to graduate programs at SUNY Oswego. Their primarily responsibility will be to provide a rewarding application experience for inquiries and assist recruits through the application process through designing and delivering professional communication messages and outreach.
Description of Responsibilities:
Possess expert knowledge of the graduate programs at SUNY Oswego and its admissions process and the ability to concisely communicate this knowledge to others - including prospective students - through our CRM (Slate Technolutions), email, phone, and in-person conversations
Provide a high level of personalized service to inquiries and applicants, including assisting with enhancing our CRM Slate Technolutions with the creation, maintenance and tracking of all graduate admissions files, including monitoring daily application bin movement within the system and making recommendations for efficiencies.
Maintain professional relationships by designing and delivering professional messages across campus units including, International Education, Registrar, Financial Aid, Communication/Marketing.
Translate feedback into improvements in the admissions process, including initiating and maintaining correspondence with applicants with up-to-date information on application status and/or missing items to improve admission yield rates.
Design queries and pull data to develop graphs, tables, and data visualizations to assist the office in making data informed decisions, including being able to merge data from different sources to meet the needs of institutional stakeholders.
Coordinate revisions and maintenance of department and program websites related to admissions and providing oversight over print recruitment material for departments.
Assist division and other administrative staff in the planning and execution of departmental orientations, graduate student programing, and commencement activities.

Job Requirements: Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree at time of appointment

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CRM systems, particularly Technolutions Slate
Ability to use analytical thinking, creative problem-solving skills, listening skills, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and complete work promptly and accurately without direct supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; editing/proofreading a plus.
Prior experience working in college admissions, higher education, or related area
Familiarity Banner software and
Familiarity with HTML a plus.
