Job Summary:
The Vice President Strategic Marketing & Communications defines and implements comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with Care New England's long-term goals and objectives. Develops and executes strategic plans to advance growth, development and performance of the Care New England and its service lines and operational units. Serves as a member of Care New England’s senior leadership team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Leadership and Team Management: Leads, inspires, and manages a diverse team of marketing, communications, and public relations professionals. Fosters a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and team performance. Promotes collaboration with other corporate leaders to assure integration of marketing and communication plans to meet growth and engagement goals.
• Advisory Role: Serves as a key advisor to the executive leadership team on health industry trends and market issues and opportunities. Provides counsel on strategic marketing and complex communications issues, including reputational risk and crisis management.
• Brand and Positioning: Leads the development of and oversees brand positioning, messaging, and communication strategies that strengthen Care New England’s image and reputation. Creates compelling content for various channels and ensures consistent messaging across all platforms.
• External Relations: Manages relationships with media, government officials, and other key stakeholders. Represents Care New England in public forums and media interactions, and oversees media relations functions, including press releases and response to media inquiries.
• Marketing and Communications Integration: Oversees the integration of marketing and communications strategies across all channels, including digital, social media, print, and broadcast. Develops innovative campaigns to engage target audiences and drive organizational goals.
• Market Research and Analysis: Conducts market research to understand consumer needs and preferences. Utilizes insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize marketing efforts.
• Budget Management: Develops and manages the marketing and communications budget. Ensures efficient allocation of resources and monitors expenditures to achieve financial targets.
• Internal Communications: Oversees the development and implementation of internal communication programs to align team members with Care New England’s culture and strategic objectives. Promotes a positive organizational culture and enhances employee engagement.
• Crisis Management: Leads the development of crisis communication strategies and provides guidance during times of crisis or adverse events.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Required; Master's Degree Preferred
Minimum 10 Years of relevant experience in strategic marketing and communications within a health system high preferred. A proven track record of success in senior leadership role.
