Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Program Manager for Program Excel, the Academic Mentor provides academic counseling, retention coaching and intervention to first generation, income-eligible students and students with disabilities and helps students persist to a college degree; provides individual services to help students set and monitor academic and financial goals, increase financial literacy, learn to navigate college procedures and systems, improve self-efficacy, develop career materials and practices; assists with grant activities/events; assists with data collection, reporting and analysis; audits and maintains electronic and paper files; assists with training new grant staff; may provide professional tutoring; recruits participants; shares responsibility fo
