The Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) is seeking a visionary Behavioral Health Program Director (BHPD) to lead our mission-driven team. In this pivotal role, you will shape a robust behavioral health program while seamlessly integrating primary and behavioral health care services, ensuring clinical excellence and optimal operational performance.
As the BHPD, you’ll be at the forefront of meaningful change, providing the infrastructure, systems, and leadership needed to elevate our services. You’ll utilize best practices in measurement and performance improvement, leveraging data to drive impactful results. Collaborating closely with our Chief Executive Officer, Medical Director, Director of Dental Services, and executive team, you will be a key consultant on behavioral health programs and play an integral role in quality improvement, strategic planning, and grants management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Inspire: Select, assess, and mentor a dedicated Behavioral Health team, ensuring the highest quality patient care aligned with RAHC’s mission and values.
Direct Patient Care: Provide hands-on support to patients while guiding your team toward achieving our clinical and financial goals.
Strategic Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate operational reports, measuring our effectiveness against strategic objectives.
Team Development: Foster a high-performance culture by motivating, mentoring, and retaining top talent with a strong focus on employee engagement.
Collaborate and Integrate: Build positive relationships across all levels of the organization, ensuring a collaborative environment that enhances behavioral health services.
Safety First: Establish a safe, compliant working environment that meets all regulatory and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
A professional license (LPC, LCSW, PsyD) in Virginia is required.
At least 3 years in a direct management role and 5+ years in community-based mental health services (or equivalent).
Supervisory experience in mental health field (3+ years preferred).
Must not be sanctioned under Medicaid or Medicare.
Compliance with RAHC credentialing and privileging requirements as per FTCA.
Direct experience in substance use disorder treatment (preferred)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands-on practicum is required.
