The Medical Student Services Case Manager for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine will focus on promoting holistic student wellness and success through provision of early support and follow-up for students with complex needs. The Case Manager will monitor students and develop action plans to facilitate referrals to on-and off-campus resources. They will coordinate the school's learning accommodations program. In addition, the Case Manager will participate in programs, trainings, and workshops for students engaged in the Comprehensive Urban Underserved and Rural Experience Program (CU2RE). The Case Manager will report directly to the Associate Dean for Students and the Associate Dean for Primary Care and Rural Health.
Salary Range: $47,665 - $77,455
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licenses as a(n) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling (ABEC) OR currently licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the Alabama Board of Examiners in Marriage and Family Therapy OR currently licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners required.
