Job Summary: The International Studies (IS) Major is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program situated within the UW-Madison International Division. At the core of the International Studies Major is a fundamental recognition that the world outside of the United States, and the Global North, matters. In international Studies we seek to understand not only how global forces are impacting nations, communities, and individuals, but also how different forces are reshaping the globe while impacting each other. This leads to the Major's emphasis on the way that global challenges such as poverty, insecurity, mental health, and climate change are intertwined.
