DESCRIPTION
Working under direct supervision, responsible and accountable for all activities and competencies related to sterile processing. Ensures that instrumentation and equipment needed for surgery and various medical exams have been sterilized and assembled in accordance with regulatory guidelines and hospital policy. Ensures compliance with all record keeping requirements. Assists with ordering and procuring equipment and instrumentation as needed.
Selected applicants may be hired at the Sterile Processing Tech I, II or III level depending on the candidate's qualification and experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess the abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Must have two (2) years of recent experience in a similar role and setting.(for Tech II)
Must have three (3) years of recent experience in a similar role and setting.(for Tech III)
Demonstrated skill and proficiency with a variety of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
Knowledge of effective inventory storage and retrieval practices
Demonstrated skill and knowledge in the decontamination, disinfection and sterilization procedures of surgical instruments
Completion of SPD course (for Tech III)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Sterile Processing Tech Certification.(for tech I and II)

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $56,209 - $69,864 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $26.92 - $33.46
