The position is responsible for general assessment of student needs, ongoing therapy interventions with students, and community referrals to students and their families. The Mental Health Counselor will :
Provide clinical services to students, including assessment, ongoing therapy, and community referrals as appropriate
Partner with the Early College Academy Program and the Hamilton Promise Program to provide outreach and education to these student groups
Manage crisis situations as they arise
Utilize the electronic health record to document sessions and ensure that records comply with HIPAA regulations
Complete other duties as assigned
