Antioch University offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes both direct and indirect pay. The compensation will be based on experience, education, knowledge, credentials, and a consideration of the difficulty and complexity of the position. The minimum salary for this position based on residential location, is: CA $73,150.00, WA $71,555.00, Other locations: $66,500.00.

Antioch University Graduate School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy invites applications for a Full time Core faculty member to join our progressive team in our Counseling Division. The Division comprises MA CMHC programs (low residency, weekend hybrid, and residential) and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision program. All of the counseling programs are accredited through CACREP and encourage a multicultural counselor identity appreciating diversity and human growth in context to social dynamics while also advocating for community justice, equity, and civil discourse. Antioch University has been educating counselors for over 40 years and has a network of alumni throughout the country who serve as many of our field supervisors and employers. Faculty are expected to engage in pedagogy and practices that reflect the social justice mission of the university. The available positions will provide the opportunity for a faculty member to teach in both the MA and PhD programs, with the flexibility to provide both course and other student support coverage across programs.
The Core faculty position would be responsible for 18 semester credit hours of teaching and would be responsible for student engagement, scholarship, service, and institutional citizenship.
Position Overview
The position has responsibilities that include:
- Teaching 18 units of direct instruction per academic year and engaging in indirect instruction including student advising
- Meeting university expectations in scholarship, service to the profession, and institutional citizenship
- Engaging in program, department, campus, and school/university citizenship
- Engaging in ongoing department and program initiatives, particularly related to improvements in pedagogy and student engagement
- Incorporating a social justice lens into pedagogical, content, and clinical approaches
Educational and Experiential Requirements and Qualifications
- At least two years of clinical supervision experience
- An earned doctorate in counselor education and supervision from a regionally accredited institution (CACREP-accredited program preferred)
- Professional counselor credentials (e.g., NCC or state licensure),
- Graduate teaching experience
- Commitment to social justice and advocacy underpinned by the American Counseling Associationâ™s (2015) Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Leadership experience in a counselor education program
- Expertise in online pedagogy specific to clinical training programs
- Knowledge of CACREP Standards and program evaluation
