The Associate Director CARE Corps will work with the ECUREI Team to ensure strong relationships with our school district and community partners leading to effective CARE members in the program, and high levels of service for families and students. The Associate Director will be responsible for all duties related to CARE Corps branches of resiliency, teaching, and counseling member services and evaluation activities associated with REI's CARE Corps grant and school/community partners. Duties include but are not limited to: recruitment of members and sites, securing memoranda of understanding, collect and analyze entry/exit participant evaluation data, collect and analyze fidelity data (logs and evaluation reports), technical assistance provision related to counseling service activities for grant partners, preparation and facilitation of training, supervision and mentorship of a Resiliency, Teaching, and Counseling CARE members and site supervisors serving, and other duties as assigned.
Partnership Leadership (35%): Responsible for
Effective communications with school and community partners to ensure strong partnerships
Disseminating details about the REI/CARE Corps program at regional meetings
Providing technical assistance regarding CARE service activities
Establishing meeting locations and training MOUs with LEA partners
Delivery of evidence-based training related to counseling service activities
Member Advising (30%): Responsible for
Coordinating member coaching, recruitment, admissions, and training
Preparation and delivery of evidence-based training related to counseling
Conducting member check-ins and providing technical assistance for site supervisors
Marketing (5%): Responsible for
Managing and compiling CARE Corps marketing information
Updating calendar activities
Maintaining the REI/CARE Corps website and social media
Team Supervision (15%): Responsible for
Organizing and facilitating regular CARE Corps members and site supervisor meetings
Maintaining meeting minutes and monitoring plans
Coordinating with the CARE Corps Program staff to process CARE Corps Team members' travel reimbursements with COEORI
Liaison with ECU Faculty Advisors in the ECUCOE Teaching and Counseling Education degree/licensure programs
Liaison with community partner and high school partners to support resiliency CARE Corps members
Evaluation and Grant Development (15%): Responsible for
Collecting and analyzing REICARE Corps outcome, fidelity, and assessment data
Coordinating external evaluation activities related to Counseling CARE service pathways to support grant development

Organizational Unit Overview:
The COE Rural Education Institute's (REI) Collaborative Action in Rural Education (CARE) Corps will create reasonable, resilient spaces in rural schools and communities to tutor, teach, and provide mental health support for youth and families in eastern NC. Through AmeriCorps funding, CARE Corps will support 78 AmeriCorps members who will serve as peer tutors/mentors, classroom teaching support, or mental health clinicians in Beaufort, Carteret, Edgecombe, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, Pitt, Wilson Counties. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for serving 4,050 kindergarten through 12th grade students. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 480 volunteers who will be engaged in national days of service (9/11 Day of Service, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, National AmeriCorps Week, National Volunteer Week) and in service projects scheduled at partner agencies.
