This position is responsible for the strategic oversight of the department/divisionâ™s resources including budget management of fund sources.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Dual report to Vice Chancellor, Human Resources and Associate Vice Chancellor, Head of Admin FP&A & Special Advisor to the CAO.
Directs all financial functions of the division, including business planning, budget development, analysis and implementation, coordination with CFU/WUSM central accounting/financial planning, general accounting, financial reporting, variance analysis, revenue modeling, cost and project accounting and auditing of the annual operating budget.
May work with other departments across the CAO arena on projects and for augmentation.
Coordinates the development and review of salary and staffing models, including the analysis of fund sourcing and the evaluation of cost centers to ensure effective allocation of financial resources.
Oversees the management, reporting, and analysis of grant funding to ensure compliance with funding requirements and to provide accurate financial insights and forecasts.
Plans, coordinates and conducts complex projects, provides staff training related to enhancing staff knowledge and expertise of budget management.
Demonstrated expertise in budget, financial planning and policy setting as an integrated operational strategy for an organization.
Reviews reports for compliance with school, university, industry, and GAAP procedures.

Salary Range
$84,200.00 - $148,500.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
