Position Summary
The Law School Vice Dean Administrative Assistant IV is responsible for managing and providing high-level administrative support in an efficient, effective and responsive manner to the Vice Deans and the Office of the Dean. This position will provide project and administrative support for up to three (3) Law administrators.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Provides administrative support, including complex calendar scheduling, appointments, travel and engagements.
Regularly handles confidential or sensitive information; drafts and finalizes letters, email messages and other communications.
Provides program/project support for research, administrative and/or academic activities.
Coordinates and provides oversight for complex projects.
Documents created require little additional review.
 Organize, file and maintain large volumes of digital material various sources. Proofreading prepared materials for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, syntax, and content and preparing reports, communications, presentations, letters, memos, and emails for the Vice Deans and Director of Deanâ™s Office Operations.
May schedule courses, classrooms and laboratories; answers general questions, provides solutions and referrals for questions and problems; serves as liaison to and assists faculty; coordinates faculty recruitment efforts, faculty reviews, faculty records, etc.
Guides production, formatting and quality of publications, presentations and related materials.
May coordinate submission of research proposals/grants; compiles, monitors, reviews and analyzes grant spending.
Manages or coordinates departmental activities, e.g. personnel and payroll records, purchasing functions, etc.
Plans and coordinates meetings and events including all details associated with event; negotiates with vendors; oversees, troubleshoots and resolves special situations that arise during event.
Approves financial documents such as check requests, journals, purchase orders, travel documents, etc.
Ensures inquiries are addressed and resolved.
Executes and/or assists with special projects as defined by the Director of Dean Office Operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s Degree.
Five (5) years of customer service and/or office support experience .
Experience with Windows, Microsoft Teams, Planner, Forms.
Moderate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe platforms and web-based applications/databases designed for enterprise management.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certificate and five years administrative office experience.

Salary Range
$23.37 - $36.19 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
