The Institutional Consulting Associate on the Graystone Team is often the first point of contact with clients on a broad array of services. Under the direction of the Financial Advisor, this industry professional combines client relationship management skills with marketing skills and product knowledge to cultivate longstanding relationships with clients. The Institutional Consulting Associate partners with team members to address the specific needs and service issues of clients to provide a consistent and positive experience.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development
Independently improves and streamlines the service model and operational procedures for the team
Conducts quarterly/annual business performance reviews in conjunction with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor
Develops customized presentation materials to attract new institutional clients
Collaborates with the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor in developing overall business plans and marketing strategies by independently targeting prospective institutional clients
Independently develops, implements, and communicates new procedures, and products for institutional clients
Coordinates enrollment campaigns/meetings for institutional investors
Delegates work to team's Client Service Associate, as appropriate
Identifies practice management opportunities through various firm channels
Provides support on products and services
Client Support
Establishes and cultivates relationships with new institutional clients and proactively helps to resolve issues and concerns
Initiates, organizes, promotes, and sets up seminars, including material preparation for clients and prospects on behalf of the Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor
Attends seminars or client meetings with Financial Advisor / Private Wealth Advisor and coordinates the distribution of marketing presentations to clients
Coordinates resolution of complex issues/concerns received from the institutional client with input from senior team members
Independently assists institutional clients with market and stock research
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:
Education and/or Experience
5+ years of experience in a field relevant to the position required
Four-year college degree or professional certification preferred
Active Series 7 (GS), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA)
Additional product licenses may be required
Knowledge/Skills
Enjoys working with people and receives great satisfaction solving problems
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of financial industry and investment products preferred
Knowledge of applicable compliance rules, regulations, and firm policies
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Able to work independently and effectively on a team
Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
