We are currently seeking a Tennis coach to join our Athletic Department for the 2024 spring season.
Position: Upper School Assistant Tennis Coach Reports to: Director of Athletics FLSA Status: Stipend, part-time position
Job Summary and Duties:
Sacred Heart Greenwich is looking for an Upper School level Tennis coach to assist the Varsity level team.
Duties include: - Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student-athletes for competition; this will include plans for experienced and brand-new players - Collaborate with coaching staff to plan, organize and run daily practices - Attend all practices and competitions at the direction of the Director of Tennis and Director of Athletics - Supervise student-athletes during all team activities - Comply with Sacred Heart and sport-specific organization policies and procedures - Assist in maintaining equipment - Communicate effectively with parents and students
Typical practice times are:
Upper School: Season starts March 2024, 4:00-6:00 pm, Monday- Friday; occasional Saturday matches
Travel with the team for practices and matches is required. Some matches require early departure for Upper School level teams.
Qualifications The ideal coaching candidate will have experience with the sport at the college level, or equivalent, expertise in teaching sport-specific skills and strategy and the ability to relate and communicate effectively with young women.
The candidate should be energetic, approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community.
