The SUNY Rochester EOC (REOC) has been an established adult educational facility in the city of Rochester NY for over 50 years. When you join the REOC, you are a part of a team with student success as the focus! Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for a Program Counselor at our REOC location. The Program Counselor is responsible for establishing relationships with students, counseling individual and groups of students in assigned programs, and providing academic and career advisement. The counselor will develop, coordinate, and implement activities to increase retention. The counselor is responsible to coordinate special accommodations for testing and program enrollment. This position is the lead person to manage special accommodations for all programs Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field is required.
Experience working with diverse student populations.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and work within a team environment.
Available to work evenings and occasional weekends with the ability to travel from the REOC campus to meetings and events with employment partners.
Experience counseling adult students.
Work Schedule: 40 hrs/one evening per week Salary and Benefits: The Minimum Salary for this position is $53,358. This position is benefits eligible; Find out more about benefits at Careers@Brockport!
