Reporting directly to the provost, and collaborating with the deans of Ithaca's four other schools, the dean will move the school forward in its path of excellence as it prepares students for careers of impact that help people lead healthy, satisfying, independent, and productive lives. The successful dean will be a collaborative, engaged leader with an earned terminal degree in one of the disciplines housed in the school. Administrative and leadership experience is required.
IC’s modern campus overlooks downtown Ithaca with breathtaking views of Cayuga Lake and serves just under 5,000 students, of whom approximately 1,000 are full-time students in the graduate or undergraduate degree programs in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance. The school is known for its practical approach, and its students graduate with substantial experience in the field having served the residents of the city and town of Ithaca, as well as the college itself. The school produces a pass rate of 95% on professional licensure and certification exams and is proud to offer a graduate degree in physician assistant studies whose emphasis is on serving minority/underserved patients.
