Responsible for coordinating the functions of and works directly with the Foundation Board of Director's Finance Committee and the Foundation's financial advisors. Works with donors regarding planned gifts and manages the gift annuity portfolio and processes. The accounting functions of Foundation are the responsibility of the Foundation including routine monthly accounting, the annual audit, the annual budget and the Foundation's required tax filings including IRS form 990 and is expected to have operational competency in all these areas. Prepares materials and reports for committee meetings, presents monthly financial statements and presents and coordinates funding requests to committee as needed. Prepares Foundation budget. Maintains detailed records of procedure and policies for Foundation finance functions and designs internal control procedures for Foundation. Communicates with Foundation Financial Advisors as needed and schedules their reporting to the committee- mid-year and year-end. Reviews monthly investment account statements for compliance to Investment Policy, monitor balances and look at reasonableness of account activity. Compare to GL. Maintains detailed records on the Foundation's database, Raiser's Edge, GL, Financial Edge, planned gift software, Crescendo Interactive and paper and computer files of individual gift annuities. Attend and support Foundation events such as Mayfaire and Impact as needed. Accepts additional projects & responsibilities as assigned with minimal oversight.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System's organization policies and procedures.
A combination of 4 years of finance/accounting education and 4 years of work experience. Or 2 years of work experience and 6 years of finance/accounting education.
